Thanks to everyone that took time to complete our 2014 survey. We wanted to share the results.
Most people have very positive things to say about our league.
- "Love the friendliness"
- "Good group of people"
- "Not too competitive"
- "Really liked the half-field of play"
- "Good fun and exercise"
- "Great attitude and supportive"
- "Love that all skill levels can play together"
There are areas that require improvement.
- "Dislike people hogging the ball"
- "Games take a long time to get organized because players arrive late"
- "Frustrating at times because people of higher skill don't give lesser skilled players a chance"
- "Not enough attendance, especially as the season goes on."
- "Not enough people taking turn at goal-tender"
- "Not enough passing to all players, regardless of skill"
- "No Pay, No play even at the end of the season"
- "Start on time"
Suggestions for next season.
- "Numbers and/or Names on jerseys"
- "Make people accountable for their attendance"
- "Once per month, have a game where we keep score"
- "Recruit more players"
- "Penalize players that don't play as a team"
- "Season should be longer"
- "Skills clinic at the start of the season, especially for new players"
- "Shorter games"
- "Less practising, more playing"
Rest assured your organizers are listening. We have already met to discuss these results and are investigating and planning improvements. While there are things that we as organizers can and will do, we ask each of you to consider your own roll in the results of the survey. Ask yourself, "How have I contributed to the positive and negative comments above?" and "How can I help to improve the league?" It is your league, let's make it the best it can be!
