Mid-Season Feedback

Hi Everybody!

In an effort to continually improve our league, We would like to your request your feedback on the season so far.

What do you like?

What don't you like?

Suggestions on how we can rectify the things you don't like?

One of the big things we hear every year is how the higher skilled players don't pass or let the lesser skilled players have a chance.  So please take this as a reminder that this is a fun non-contact league for everyone.  Non-Contact means not using your arms or hands to push off people or keep them away.  It also means not sliding or intentionally kicking legs or feet.  You can still use your body to protect the ball.

To the players with higher skills, take this as an opportunity to teach.  Help us make this fun for everyone, by passing to everyone regularly and not immediately attacking a player with lesser skills.  Do give them a chance to make a play.

To the players with lesser skills, take this as an opportunity to learn.  What are the higher skilled players doing to get the ball more often?  (Being in an open space, being in a clear line for the pass, calling for the ball.)

Another issue we have is regular attendance.  Unfortunately, this year has been worse due to injuries and work commitments.  We have rarely played 2 games.  Next year we plan on just having 2 large teams.  When we have enough for 2 games then we'll split into 4 squads.  That should hopefully get games started on time and we can easily accommodate late comers.

Please do take the time to respond with your comments, or approach myself, Ian, Chris, Justin or Martin with your thoughts.

Thanks, see you tomorrow night.
